welcome to synthquest: relaxing, ambient soundscapes, 100% improvised, unedited, live and of the moment. like meditation music for music lovers! episode 3, "autumn equinox", is a trance music-y wistful celebration of the coming of fall, recorded on the first day of fall.
welcome to synthquest: improvised, ambient soundscapes! i've loved hearing about what you do when you listen to synthquest and how it has served as a soundtrack to your meditations, creative work, study sessions, and video gaming. this week's episode was recorded on the 2021 autumn equinox marking the coming of fall — both the excitement for it and some apprehension as we approach winter still in the midst of a pandemic. i took a walk in the cool fall weather today and thought all day about what good fall sounds would be — in true spontaneity, the starting sounds of this improvisation were actually inspired by an organ sound I heard in the background of a tv show that struck me as appropriately haunting.
i highly recommend listening to synthquest through headphones. i'll also suggest settling into someplace comfortable to listen, or listening during a bath, massage, on a walk, while you make dinner — basically wherever you go or whatever you do to relax and decompress.
